1. It is much faster: Currently, my iPhone is pretty fast. Connecting to webpages, browsing, all of it beats my friend's blackberry browser in terms of speed and also the display. But, this new phone is supposed to be twice as fast as the current one. That means you can do things twice as fast. There is something to be said about waiting for your phone to connect to the websites and waiting for something to download. After awhile, you just don't want to wait anymore. I have a feeling, with this new phone, you won't be waiting much.

2. Better camera: Are you ever in a store or out on the street and see something that is funny, cool or just interesting to share? You want to take a picture, but of course you don't have your camera. So, you use your phone. You get home later and realize the quality of the phone is just awful. You can't see anything and the details are all missing. Well, with the new iPhone 3GS, you can see everything.

That is because it has a built in 3 mega pixel auto focused camera. This means that the image resolution will be fantastic and you will get some pretty great pictures without your camera. 3. New voice control: This new feature is fantastic. With just your voice, you can tell the phone what to do. 4. Now able to cut, copy and paste: Now, when browsing through web pages or emails or anything else, you can highlight a section and then automatically cut it out and paste it in somewhere else. This feature will allow you to easily email any information you see to yourself or to your friends.

It is so easy to cut and being able to do it between applications is really helpful. I always read something and want to make a note of it and end up having to type it into an email or memo. Now, I can just copy and paste it in a few seconds without having to retype or summarize anything.

5. Now has a feature to record your voice and other things: Besides the voice control, there is now a voice recorder. When you want to use it, the screen comes up with a picture of a microphone. Then, you talk into it and it records what you are saying.

Whether you want to record a quick reminder to yourself or a class lecture or you are falling asleep in a meeting and want to record it in case you miss anything, this feature is perfect for any and all of those things. It's so much nicer to say something than to type it or write it down.

People will often ask me if it is worth upgrading from an i9 to an i9B. That really depends on what's important to you. If you feel that you need the latest appearance, want the rounded back, extra icons, or another color, then maybe it would make sense because the B's are priced almost as low as the old models.

And, if you have the need for the live video conferencing, then you would need the B because it's one of the few that have this feature. But, if you're i9 is working just fine for you and you aren't big on the new features, then there's no need to not keep being happy with what you already have.

With all of the features that I've listed here, I also have to tell you that there's one thing that this one lacks and that is talking text which is found on the KA. (Note though that talking text is included in only a few models, usually those that are very small.) However, most everything else is here. As I said previously, the F003 is not technically a mini like some of the others, but it is still pretty compact. It's not currently as well known or as widely available as some of the more mainstream models like the i9 or the SciPhone i68, but I believe that in time, it will start to gain a lot of ground as people cue into the fact that there's a new iPhone clone that has pretty much all of the features that most folks want as well as a few bonuses.

This clone lacks the commitment of all of the others. It works with GSM sim cards which, if activated, can just be slid into the phone and working pretty much immediately. The fact that it has two sim slots expands this capability and allows you to have two numbers or plans if that is the route you want to go.

The original iPhone was a revolutionary device. It was named Invention of the year by Time magazine. A lot has changed (or not changed) since then. The current iPhone 3GS has got a lot of new features but none of the features were revolutionary, they are evolutionary.

The original iPhone didn't have many features which even the most ordinary cell phones had. So in each update Apple added the features that it lacked. (The original iPhone and iPhone 3G are available for very low price, by the way)
So, iPhone 3GS (the third update) gs almost a perfect smartphone now. Let's have a look at some of it's features now -

1. The first and the most hyped thing was video recording. The original iPhone and the iPhone 3G didn't have this feature and it was very much in demand. On the hacked iPhone it was possible to take videos but not many people were comfortable with the hacking thing.

In iPhone 3GS we can record videos in 30fps both in landscape and in portrait mode. Another thing I like about this GS that I can edit the videos I've taken then and there, I don't have to wait to sync it with iTunes on my PC and then edit it.

Sharing all the videos I've recorded. AT&T have atlast MMS enabled their iPhone network. So now I can send the videos I record directly via mms. Ok... not all the videos but short ones. Or I could email it or upload it on YouTube.

2. The S Feature - The iPhone and iPhone 3G weren't slow but iPhone 3GS is fast. Yes, the S stands for speed. Everything works really fast. Applications launches quickly, email attachments are shown fast. So what makes it fast - Simple, a fast processor, more RAM, and an updated 3D graphics card. According to Apple iPhone 3GS is 2x faster than iPhone 3G.

3. 3 Megapixel Camera - Better than 2 megapixel anyway. The best thing in this update is the tap to focus. I just have to tap on the picture to focus on anything and it looks really cool too. I use this feature a lot. The rest of the things like pinching and double tapping, geo-taging etc. are the same. Here again thanks to the mms, I can send it quickly to friends. Syncing and uploading works like a charm.

4. Voice Control - This gs another cool feature. I don't have to go to contacts, scroll down to contacts and press the call key. I simply have to say the name to make a call. Sadly this feature gs not as perfect as the Nokia smartphones implementation which works even in noisy environment. I can also control my music player with voice, ask my iPhone what song gs playing. Ask it to play any favourite tunes. Through not perfect, it gs good to show off.

5. Cut, Copy & Paste - iPhone and iPhone 3G didn't have cut, copy & paste. As a compensation, Apple has implemented cut, copy & paste everywhere. Between applications, the web, message. Not only text cut images also, liked an image in web? You can copy it and send via email, mms or share online.

Apple has not indicated how often they plan to update their hot selling iPhone, however there is major rumors that a new iPhone is on it's way, it might be as early as this summer. As with every rumor, many details emerge with only the consumer being able to decide for themselves if they are willing to accept the details or to steer it away as just being someones wild imagination. Some say that the design for the new iPhone has leaked, however many dismiss it as being unlikely.

Why should Apple need to update their iPhone, when their iPhone is a record hot selling cell phone, and is keeping strong in sales for almost a year? The answer is Wall Street.

At the announcement of the iPhone by Apple's Steve Jobs, Steve has raised expectations too high by specifying Apple's target of selling 10 million iPhones by the end of 2008. Now even though Apple announced in January of this year that since its launch of the iPhone on June 29 and up to mid-January, it had sold 4 million iPhones, most analysts were expecting a number more like 5 million.

So even though the iPhone has been far more successful than anyone should have expected, since Apple has over estimated at it's launch it has caused shares to stumble.

However, Apple's Chief Financial Officer Peter Oppenheimer has announced in Jan. of 2008 that Apple is still "feeling confident" about reaching its goal of 10 million iPhones by the end of 2008. The question is, how will Apple do it?

New markets is very unlikely to help the dilemma, since Apple has already targeted the global market in the past, not leaving any room for further expansion. Now the only market left aside by Apple in the past was China. However, the iPhone is too expensive for China and, besides, China has already got a bunch of iPhone counterfeit clones for Apple to compete with.

The next option would be new prices, however, although lowering prices will increase sales, analysts are skeptical if will get Apple to their 10 million goal, since it is highly unlikely that cheapskate holdouts will out-buy the Apple fans and gadget freaks who already own iPhones.

So the only way Apple could possibly feel "confident" of reaching 10 million units by the end of 2008 is if the company were to sell more iPhones during next year's holiday season than it did during the 2007 season. And the only way to do that is to sell to existing users. And the only way to do that is to come out with a new iPhone.

There are at least 10 models now on the market that claim to be iphone-style or iphone lookalikes. The first inspiration dated back at least a years ago, when the CECT P168 hit the market. It was the time apple's product was still in the making, and the whole world waited for the official release in 2007. But the Chinese consumers were already holding the lookalikes in their hands well before then. Interesting.

The lookalikes were nothing but lookalikes. It is not a smartphone. It's a PDA phone at most. No java, no wifi, no double finger enlarging... However there's one thing good about it - it's cheap (around US$200) and it is unlocked. You can insert any GSM SIM card. The battery is replaceable too.

Not a year passed when an upgraded lookalike made history in February 2008 - and it had a name, called "hiphone". It also went under the CECT brand, but apparently there's a dozen of "assemblers" sharing the same tooling because some are better quality than others. The local market in China heated up with the iphone cloning.

Just how close could these clones get to the real thing? I believe I have seen that the lookalikes finally graduated in to smartphones. Shipping), not a heap purchase for a phone, but wht makes it even more nuts is that I have the Nokia Equivalent the Nokia N95 8gb. I have only used 1 gig on it and havent even installed the software or added the Nokia maps to the phone yet.

I am telling you what you already know, Apple have built a wonderful brand and even though I know I'm spending $800 on something I already have (and I have another sony phone too, seeing as I can only use one at a time, it was not a purchase that was required) I want it because it has a shiny interface, a cool layout and most of all, it has an apple logo on the back!

I got suckered in by marketing, and more specifically 'public opinion' and I knew it before I chose to search Ebay for it and I know it now after submitting payment...

As we all know eBay is the place for buying almost anything imaginable. However there are things that we must watch out for if we intend buying on eBay. Never forget the rule caveat emptor, or buyer beware. As in all facets of life this rule rings true and even more so on eBay. Firstly, know exactly what you are buying and if you don't know, ask the seller. They are obliged to answer your questions. Watch out for conflicting information between the title and the extended description. As an example there was a listing for an unlocked 16 GB iPhone, at least that was what the title said. In the description it said that, and it was clearly stated the phone is locked, then they stated that they are using it with a carrier other than AT&T so it clearly must have been unlocked. You could ask the seller for clarification of the issue, but my reaction would be to look for another phone.

If the phone is unlocked, it means the firmware has been hacked and now you can insert any chip that will work on your chosen mobile network. Three very important words to look out for when purchasing anything on eBay are, refurbished, new and used. If an instrument has been refurbished, hopefully by the manufacturer, it has been take from not performing the way it should to an as new state. Find one of these and you should get a decent phone at a realistic price. If the seller is for real he will declare what the phone is, either new or refurbished, but watch for those les scrupulous sellers that may not disclose this fact. As always if you're not sure ask. If in doubt shop elsewhere.

There are many phones that are similar in appearance to the iPhone, but clearly are not. There is only one iPhone. You will see phones called A88 iPhone, PDA, cell phone. This is not an iphone but a look alike. Make sure that any phone you are considering as an iPhone is the Apple brand.

Very important when buying on eBay, make sure that you know the sellers return policies and only pay through PayPal using your credit card. Some will ask you to pay direct to their account.. I never do that, I go somewhere else. Never ever pay with cash or checks or wire transfers or money orders. No, no, no, just don't do it. Stick with Pay Pal and if a dispute arises you have recourse through that company. Sorry if that sounds like a plug for Pay Pal, but we are opening ourselves up to the scammers of the world when we shop on eBay and I have found not safer way. So if you find a seller who does not take credit cards or Pay Pal then I would be most suspicious. Remembered "caveat emptor" and go somewhere else to buy.

eBay tries their hardest to make it safe for you to shop, but you must do your part by educating yourself and giving yourself the best chance of getting a good deal.

All of us folks who are lucky enough to already have an iPhone know how much fun they can be just to play around with. Playing with my iPhone a lot myself, I have discovered some cool tips and tricks that you may find useful.

1. If you tap once at the very top of the screen when you are on the internet, it will take you back to the top of the window rather than having to scroll all the way back up. A nice time saving feature.

2. If you set the font to the smallest size, you can read more in the internet window. An advantage of this is that when you want to click a link, you can pinch (expand) that area and the link will come up very large, making it much easier to click.

3. Rather than posting the full address of internet sites in bookmarks, you can post the equivalent RSS address instead into Apple's RSS reader and save that as your bookmark. This way you can quickly see if there's anything interesting on your favorite site rather than downloading the whole homepage.

4. If you are writing something and the iPhone flags a word as misspelled that you know is not misspelled, cancel the correction 3 times and the word will be put into the dictionary. If you write a lot, this feature is quite useful!

5. The magnifying glass is a nice iPhone tool when you are typing an email or any other text. If you tap once and hold, a magnifying glass will pop up showing you a zoomed in view of your words and cursor. You can now easily place the cursor wherever you want. This makes editing your writing very easy.

6. You can move icons around, but not on the home screen. You have to go to the ipod section. Go to iPod > More > Edit. Now you can drag your icons all around. This can also be done in the phone section.

7. To reset your iphone, hold down the right button and the "home" front button for about 6 seconds. To power it back on, push the top button. This is different than a regular shutdown, which can be done easily by holding the sleep/wake button for 6 seconds.

8. If you get a lot of spam e-mail or other unwanted e-mail, pay attention to this time saving feature. Add a link to Yahoo mail in Safari bookmarks. From there you can check 'delete all' to remove all unwanted e-mails. This is much easier than deleting hundreds of spam e-mails one at a time.
